Allen Engineering Contractor, Inc. is a general contractor specializing in railroad bridge construction and other industrial/commercial construction projects across the western and southern United States.
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Equipment Manager at our corporate office in San Bernardino, CA.  This position is responsible for supporting the equipment needs of multiple construction projects across several US states.
  • Schedule and dispatch company-owned and/or rented heavy and small equipment to various job sites nationwide.
  • Communicate regularly with project superintendents and vendors to ensure that equipment is delivered, maintained and picked up according to project timelines.
  • Research vendor pricing to obtain competitive rates.
  • Review and reconcile equipment-related invoices to validate vendor charges.
  • Maintain current vehicle registrations on all company-owned vehicles.
  • Maintain up to date records of company vehicles and/or equipment assigned per employee.
  • Manage preventive maintenance schedule for all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Obtain approvals for all vehicle service requests.
  • Monitor company vehicles using GPS-tracking program to ensure safe, efficient use, and report excessive violations to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of IFTA and permit requirements for loads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • At least 2 years' previous experience in a related role.  Direct experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment is a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with scheduling software.
