We are currently seeking a Construction Accounts Receivable Clerk who will be responsible for client billing/invoicing, and other related tasks.
Job Duties:
  • Review awarded contracts to ensure proper set up for billing instructions and other related items.
  • Communicate with Project Managers regarding completion of project milestones, contract change orders, and to obtain approvals for billing.
  • Generate client invoices for progress payments, change order billings, and T&M billings.
  • Submit invoices to clients either via mail or electronically.
  • Monitor all billings to ensure timely payments, process cash receipts, and resolve any payment discrepancies.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices via phone and email.
  • Utilize accounting program for data entry and generating reports.
  • Maintain filing of all receivables records (electronic and hard copy).
  • Screen and route incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Issue purchase orders for field personnel.
  • Make travel reservations for employees (flights, hotels, and car rentals).
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the day to day work flow of the business.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ previous experience in high volume construction receivables.
  • Solid understanding of construction budgeting and billing processes.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiar with accounting software programs.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task with ease.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail/accuracy.
