About the Opportunity
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for accurately processing the Company payroll for 100+ employees on a weekly basis, and providing other administrative support as needed.
Job Duties:
  • Collect timesheets and job rosters, and ensure that they are complete and correct.
  • Verify that job rosters match timesheets, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Utilize Accubuild software to process payroll.
  • Remit electronic tax payments and 401(k) deferrals.
  • Process employee garnishment payments to multiple agencies.
  • Update and distribute payroll reports.
  • Maintain up to date filing of payroll records (electronic and hard copy).
  • Distribute paychecks to staff.
  • Respond to requests for verifications of employment (verbal and written).
  • Research payroll inquiries and provide appropriate responses.
  • Screen and route incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Make travel reservations for employees (flights, hotels, and car rentals).
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • College degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and careful attention to detail.
  • Sharp analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organization skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks with ease.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be flexible.
